Pure Barre App Redesign
As someone obsessed with Pure Barre, I spend a lot of time using their app. I use it to book my classes and keep track of my schedule. I decided to redesign their Android version to better follow the Material Design style.
Additionally, I based on my research, I designed a new feature which allows a person to switch classes within the 4 hour cancellation window.
About Pure Barre
Pure Barre, like many boutique studios, uses the MindBody technology for all class bookings
Customers are able to book classes through the MindBody website or through the Pure Barre mobile app, created by MindBody
Pure Barre requires all customers to cancel their Pure Barre reservation at least 4 hours prior to the class. Failure to do so results in loss of a day on customers package or a $10 fee.
Initial research revealed many customers use the mobile app rather than the website
Problem Statement
Customers who want to switch classes within the 4 hour cancellation window are unable to do so via the mobile app or website. They are forced to email, call, or show up to the studio without a guarantee of getting a spot in the class.
